Learn About College
To be honest, college isn’t for everyone. Within the pages of get-IN, you might have come across several careers that do not require a college or university degree. Apprenticeships in the skilled trades or employer-sponsored training programs can lead to successful and rewarding careers.
However, employers increasingly are demanding more skills and education from their new workers. Why? Technology is one reason. Computers, robots, and machines of all sizes are being incorporated into every type of business and industry. Employers need to know that you will be able to use that technology today. More importantly, they will want to know that you can use the new technology of tomorrow: the things that haven’t even been invented yet!
